Chao, Yung-mau (趙永茂) is currently Dean of the College of Social Sciences, and also a Professor of Political Science at National Taiwan University. His research interests include local government and politics, British politics and society, and comparative government in South-East Asian Countries. Prof. Chao has published numerous books and articles in English and Chinese, most notably on local government and elections in Taiwan. Titles include Change and Special Characteristics of Local Government in Taiwan (1997). His most recent publication is Research on the Development of Political Leaders in the Central Government (2010).
