石之瑜 Shih, Chih-yu


Shih, Chih-yu (石之瑜) is Professor of Political Science at National Taiwan University. Shih earned his Ph.D from the University of Denver. His research focuses include China Studies, Political Psychology, and Cultural Studies. Shih is a prolific writer, and has produced numerous books, book chapters and journal articles in both English and Chinese. Recent books include Democracy Made in Taiwan: The “Success State” as a Political Theory (Lanham: Lexington Press, 2007), Autonomy, Ethnicity and Poverty in Southwestern China: The State Turned Upside Down (London: Palgrave/Macmillan, 2007) and Navigating Sovereignty: World Politics Lost in China (London: Palgrave/Macmillan, 2003).
